அனைவரும் தரிசிக்கும் வகையில் கடவுளை ஜோதி வடிவில் வழிபட்டார். ‘மக்கள் சேவையே கடவுள் சேவை’ என்பதை முக்கியக் கொள்கையாக வகுத்து, பசித்த மக்களுக்கு உணவு அளிப்பதையே கடமையாகக் கொண்டு வடலூரில் இலவசமாக உணவளிக்கும் வகையில் அணையாத அடுப்பினை ஏற்படுத்தினார். அது இன்றளவும் மக்களின் பசியைப் போக்கி வருகிறது.
