This book also discusses in detail the contributions of various leaders such as Rajaji, Kamaraj, M.B.O.C, Marshall Neshamani to the formation of Tamil Nadu as a separate state, the obstacles they encountered and the solutions found at the end. While narrating the struggle of Sankaralinganar, who died for a separate state for Tamils, the author also records the sacrifice of Poti Sriramulu, who fasted for 'Visaala Andhra'. How Jawaharlal Nehru and his colleagues approached the demands for a linguistic state that arose throughout India, and how some influential leaders at the center advocated a linguistic state.The book also describes how they represented their states during partition. This is one of the very few books published in Tamil on the subject of a separate state.
